Who can I video chat with on 50dating.com?
Video chat works within an existing conversation in the following cases:
- Both members have Premium Plus.
- The conversation has been unlocked with an unlock credit. In this case, both members may call, even a free member, as long as the unlock remains valid.
A combination of Premium Plus with Premium Basic does not work, unless the conversation is unlocked. In addition, both members must be online at that moment. The call button is located at the top of the conversation.
Video chat works via a direct connection (WebRTC). No recordings are made. Make sure your browser has access to your camera and microphone, otherwise the call will not start.
Why should I make a video call before meeting up or sharing contact details?
Making a video call is the safest way to check that someone is who they say they are, even before you share a phone number or arrange to meet. You do not need any external app for this.
Be cautious if someone refuses to video call, yet is quick to press for contact via WhatsApp or asks for money. This is a clear warning sign.
